Full moon blues.

This week has been a bit of a learning curve. I've been ironing out a lot of the kinks, getting used to the way the online store is run and it's been a case of learning, relearning and up in a panic fixing things that we thought were already set in place. What I hadn't taken into account was how much work it would actually be to maintain stock levels and keep everything fresh and exciting and to have pretty pieces without letting numbers dwindle down to zero.

What I found is that I have been in a panic trying to create basic pieces and fulfill wholesale orders but not creating larger, statement pieces. I've also come to a mental block when it comes to the creation of designs. l think making basic pieces has been a good way to keep creating, not losing momentum, but also it's a distraction. It seems that stress is a factor in my blockage, hampering my creativity. When I feel pressure into filling an order, I get blocked, unable to imagine new amazing pieces. In that way, I'm lucky I can persevere with the pouches.

Meanwhile, domesticity is still needed. I'm trying to be a good housewife, doing all the housewifely duties, dishes, cooking, laundry, sweeping floors, feeding and watering animals, changing linens and some self care thrown in  as well. It seems finding the balance is going to take some time and talent and some creative allocation of priorities. This will take some getting used to as I've only ever allocated time to create, not time to sell.

This full moon is kicking my butt though. I've been having trouble staying asleep, waking up at 1 or 2am and not being able to get back to sleep until much later in the morning. I toss and turn for an hour or so, but then Ricky's alarm goes off and I decide that I can get up so that I can send him off to work with some food in his belly, to make up for me tossing and turning and keeping him awake.

So I'm writing this at 4am, I've been awake since around 1.30am and I couldn't get back to sleep. I feel the effects of this moon, it's been building up for a few days. I have drops oto organise, new pieces to launch in our store, dogs to keep alive.

Today we're starting 30 drops in 30 days where we will be adding new stock to our online store, everyday for the month of September. I'm also going to be organising some discount codes for our existing VIP members, from our VIP on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/2746279958734691/?ref=bookmarks  It's a way of thanking them for their continued loyalty. So ladies and gents, keep an eye out for the codes.
